ABAA Workshop & Course background Info

Maria Mormile has taught in a number of Adult Education Colleges in both Melbourne and Queensland (massage & Anatomy subjects) and written course outlines and assessments for TAFE & Private Colleges. Maria obtained her Cert 1V in Assessment Workplace and Training in 2006. She has been a Face/Body Painter for 10 years and has received a number of National and International Awards for both Face Painting and Body Painting.  Maria has taught Face/Body Painting as an instructor at conventions and internationally. In addition, Maria is also the Director & Producer of The Australian Body Art Awards & Conventions. All these experiences have given Maria the ability to format workshops as well as an intensive 8 week Face/Body Painting course which also incorporates Balloon Twisting.

(one stroke is a fast technique embraced by professional face painters.  It is widely used in our industry and a must for quick and impressive work.

Monday 17th September - $165

  • 9.30am to 2.30pm  – Intro to Balloon Twisting

ENTER the industry as a Professional! Covering all the things you need to know and more. This is a long overdue course encouraging and protecting our industry so that those who enter are well trained and clear on industry Standards of Practice & Code of Ethics. At the end of the course painters will acquire skills in face painting, Body Painting & Balloon Twisting. They will also be aware of recommended rates, industry expectations & professional behaviour

  • There are 3 Units. Face Painting, Body Painting & Balloon Twisting

  • 17 Face Painting subjects; 5 Body Painting subjests; 6 Balloon subjects; 1 OH & S; 1 SOP & Ethics     (Unit & Subject details below)

  • Classes are divided into 3 hour workshops

  • There are 30 x 3 hour subjects/workshops

  • Workshops can be taken individually $125 (3 hours)

  • Total is $3750 however Early Bird discount of 50% applies when payment is made by 14th of May 2017 $1875 PAY NOW  From the 15th of May a 40% discount applies for the full course is $2250.
